The Basalto Project is conceived as a suspended volume of water overlooking the Mediterranean, where architecture, landscape and the horizon come together through an elevated infinity pool defined by clean lines and balanced proportions.

Its elevated structure features a perimeter overflow that guides the water into a lower transfer channel, creating a continuous reflective surface that enhances the mirror effect and gives the entire composition a remarkable sense of visual lightness. From every main living space, the water becomes a defining architectural element, extending the experience of the home towards the surrounding landscape.

One side of the pool has been designed as a generous sun shelf with integrated underwater seating. This shallow platform offers a versatile space for relaxation, sunbathing or family enjoyment while preserving the project’s seamless visual continuity. The result is a calm, multifunctional environment where water can be experienced in different ways throughout the day.

The entire pool is finished in basalt-coloured natural stone-effect porcelain, a material chosen for its timeless character, refined texture and ability to blend effortlessly with the contemporary architecture of the residence. The result is a Water Architecture project where materiality, light and the Mediterranean horizon exist in perfect balance.
